   The Wolf Logo

If like many of our site visitors, you are wondering why we use a Wolf as our Club Logo, then the answer is simple. We have a couple of Wolf Hybreds.

You may think wolves, isn't that illegal. No it's not. As long as you have your Animial Registered and Microchipped, and it is kept safely and under proper control at all times, and get hold of a DWA (Dangerous Wild Animals) Licence (if required), then you can keep almost whatever you want.

Any way, Huskies and Malamutes, plus others, are Wolf Hybreds. Although, some may be more wolf than others are.

Below you will find some info and photos of our 2 wonderful little wolfy friends:

Tikaani

This is Tikaani. She is approx 18 months old. Her name in full is 'Miki Sesi Tikaani', which is an Alaskan Indian name. In English it means 'Little Snow Wolf'. Tikaani is desended from the Alaskan Snow Wolves, and stands at 26 inches at the shoulder. Apart from my Children, Tikaani is my pride and joy. To me, she is one of the family.

Here is a photo of Tikaani taken a few months back.

Here is another one of her.

Nanuq

This is Nanuq. He has just turned 1 year old, and is my Wifes big baby. His name 'Nanuq', is an Alaskan Indian name which in English means 'Polar Bear'. You only have to look at the size of his paws, to see why we named him that. Nanuq is desended from the American Timber Wolves, and now stands at 30 inches at the shoulder.

Here is another one of him.

You may notice in the photos of Nanuq above, that he has floppy ears. Well many animals are born like that. When they get older, and their mussles get stronger thier ears stand up properly. I will take some more upto date photos of Nanuq, when the weather is better. You will see his ears standing up then.

Temprament

Both of our Children think the world of Tikaani and Nanuq, and play with them all the time. For what they are, Tikaani and Nanuq are very gentle, obediant, loyal, and protective. They think of our Children, as other members of their litter or pack.

Breeding

We are hoping to breed from Tikaani and Nanuq in the Spring. Things are going very well between them. They are inseperable, and very much in love with one another. We will let you all know what happens in the Spring.

If you fancy owning one of these fantastic creatures, then please contact us as soon as possible. We do have a waiting list, but it is not as long as you may think.

We have not set the final costs for any Cubs yet, but they will be round about what I have put below:

  • Boys   -   £1,000.00
  • Girls    -   £1,500.00

The prices will include Microchipping, and their first lot of jabs.

Singing

At the moment the two of them are practicing their singing. We call it singing, simply because any dog can howl. With Wolves, it is tuneful, and melodic. The Wolves Song is beautiful to listen to. They really do harmonise with eachother. I will try to get a good recording of them singing together, and put a link for it on here.

Acting

One more thing, that may interest you, is that both Tikaani and Nanuq, may follow acting careers, by playing parts in Films, Adverts, and Music Videos, where Wolves are needed for the scenes. More on this, when we know more.

If you are a Talent Scout, Casting Agent, TV / Film Director or Producer, and would like Tikaani and/or Nanuq to star in your next great movie, then please contact us. We will be very happy to speak with you about this.

Eve, the 1st born's eyes started to open today.

15/05/07

Mia is not feeling very well today. She appears to have a tummy ache, and is not feeding properly. She is smaller than the other three. What would be called the runt of the litter. We have sort Vetenary advise, and have bought some special puppy milk for her. This we are feeding to her every two hours. We also have an appointment with the Vet tomorrow, to check Mia over. We will have Tikaani, and all the cubs checked over at the same time.

16/05/07

We took Tikaani and the cubs to the Vets. Takanni, and 3 of the cubs are ok, and doing well, but unfortunatly, Mia has a Heart Murmer. Because of this, she is not as big or as strong as her Brothers and Sister. We have to continue to feed her by hand, and just see how things go. We will let you all know how she gets on.

17/05/07

Mia is still fighting on, and is taking the hand fed milk supplement quite well. Raven, the 2nd born cub's eyes have opened today.

Sad News !!!

This morning at about 8 o'clock, Mia unfortunatly lost her fight for life. This is a very sad day for us. She never saw the world, as her eyes had not opened yet. She will be remembered for what she was, and in our hearts always will be, a wonderful pretty little girl cub.

We will make 18th May each year Mia's day.

Always in our hearts

Tikaani is really feeling the loss, and we are confirting her. The other 3 cubs are all doing well. We hope they will all remember their sister, for years to come.
